Three Men Hospitalized After Shooting at Merritt Island Apartment, Deputies Say

Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a shooting at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Courtney Palm Apartments, located at 700 N. Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a shooting at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Courtney Palm Apartments, located at 700 N. Courtenay Parkway on Merritt Island.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tod Goodyear, three victims were shot as a result that appeared to have been started due to a gambling dispute.

Goodyear said that all three victims were transported to the hospital with life-threatening wounds.

The identity of the victims have not yet been released and Sheriff’s Agents are now investigating the incident.
