City of Rockledge Cancels 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Due to Increase of COVID-19 Cases

This event will not be rescheduled this year; however, a virtual remembrance ceremony may be held

The City of Rockledge 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, scheduled for September 2020, has been canceled.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The City of Rockledge 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, scheduled for September 2020, has been canceled.

“The City of Rockledge regrets to announce that, out of an abundance of caution relating to COVID-19, in response to increased case numbers and recommendations from the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, the Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony has been canceled,” said City of Rockledge officials.

“This event will not be rescheduled this year; however, a virtual remembrance event/ceremony may be held.”

The City of Rockledge looks forward to restoring the in-person ceremony in observance of the 20th anniversary of the September 11 tragedy in September 2021.

‘The City of Rockledge apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause, and we encourage interested participants to monitor the City of Rockledge website, or the City of Rockledge’s official Facebook page, for additional information and event updates, including the potential for a virtual event/ceremony.”
