BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE BEACH, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to a plane crash on Melbourne Beach near Cove Road and State Road A1A Friday morning at about 9 a.m.
Brevard County Fire Rescue officials reported that the experimental aircraft had two people on board at the time of the crash, which resulted in the aircraft coming to a rest upside down.
Fortunately, there was no fire or fuel leak, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.
One victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other person on board the downed plane refused treatment.
Details of the circumstances of the crash have not yet been reported and an investigation is underway.
