BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department recently recognized Volunteer Cop Allen Snyder for his service.

“After 27 years as a corrections officer in the New York state system, Allen Snyder moved with his wife to Florida to enjoy a well-deserved retirement six years ago. Not long after his friend, Rich, invited him to join the VCOP patrol division,” said Palm Bay police officials.

“Always looking for ways to give back to his community, it didn’t take much convincing. Doing house checks, VIN checks and retrieving lost or stolen bikes are just a few of the things he’s done during his 4+ years with the group.”

In his spare time, you can find Snyder on the golf course, working on his prize-winning show car, a 1973 Mustang, or spending time with his wife, daughter, and granddaughter.

If you would like to become a VCOP like Allen, send an email to VCOP@palmbayflorida.org or call 321-953-8987.
