Eastern Florida State Men’s Basketball Tip-Off Central Conference Season Against St. Petersburg

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team opens the Central Conference season Saturday on the road.

The Titans have won at least shared the conference championship eight straight years and head into Saturday’s matchup with St. Petersburg coming off a record-setting victory.

Sophomore Brody Boyer led a hot-shooting team to a team-record 20 3-pointers in a 93-61 win over Palm Beach State College. Boyer hit eight of his nine 3-pointers to score a career-high 26 points.

St. Petersburg comes into the game 1-1 on the season and will play the Titans for the first time since the 2016-17 season in which the two teams split in the regular season and St. Petersburg won the third meeting in the FCSAA State/NJCAA Region 8 tournament finals.

“We are extremely excited to start conference play on Saturday!” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said.

“We are in one of the toughest conferences in the country, and the largest and deepest conference in Florida. We know every night is going to be an exciting challenge. But we have a group of great competitors, so we are excited about the challenge.”

Bryan Williams comes into the matchup averaging 22 points per game for St. Petersburg.

The game will tip-off at 4 p.m. in St. Petersburg.
