The teams will return Thursday for the final games in this division

ABOVE VIDEO: The 10/11/12 Baseball Division continued at Mitchell Ellington Park tonight. On Field 1, Merritt Island were the visitors with Port St. John the home team.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – The 10/11/12 Baseball Division continued at Mitchell Ellington Park tonight. On Field 1, Merritt Island were the visitors with Port St. John the home team.

10/11/12 District 22 All-Star Baseball: Merritt Island 7, Rockledge 0

Merritt Island started off with 3 runs in the first and held Port St. John scoreless going into the fifth inning. With the 3-0 lead, Merritt Island’s Ty Brandes had a lead-off double, followed by back-to-back homers from Liam Miller and Cooper Janke. Grant Arnold was then hit by a pitch and driven home by a double from Aiden Doherty.

There were no more runs scored as Merritt Island won 7-0. Cooper Janke pitched the entire game for Merritt Island allowing 2 singles by Port’s Carter Spinale and 1 walk while striking out 16 batters.

ABOVE VIDEO: Merritt Island defeated Port St. John 7-0. Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson spoke with the team after the victory. 

10/11/12 District 22 All-Star Baseball: Indian River City 22, Rockledge 0

On Field 2, Indian River City were the visitors and Rockledge was the home team.

Indian River City’s Ian Jarvis scored 3 runs off a single and two doubles and Jacob Bercaw added 3 runs while hitting two singles and a double on the way to their team’s 22-0 victory.

The teams will return Thursday for the final games in this division.
