Game 2 set for Wednesday at Amalie Arena

TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA – Tampa Bay defended their home ice on Monday as the Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens 5-1 in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final from Amalie Arena.

The Lightning were led by Nikita Kucherov who scored two goals in a dominating third period performance with three-unanswered goals.

Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy delivered another great performance by tallying 18 saves, while only giving up one goal in the game that came in the second period.

Monday’s attendance at Amalie Arena had 19,092 fans inside Amalie Arena. It was the largest attended game of the 2021 season.

Game 2 is scheduled for Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
