BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech women’s rowing grabbed three spots on the Pocock All-America team, announced Thursday, July 8.

Abbigale Smith and Liza Lutter garnered inclusion on the first team, while Anna Kayser Gallego was a second-team honoree.

This was the first time that any of these members of the Crimson & Gray earned the All-America distinction.

Smith was the coxswain for the Varsity 8 and the sophomore commanded the respect of the shell while guiding them to many medal-winning finishes.

Lutter continues her ascent to the top of the sport as the Hungary native has only improved since she joined the program.

Kayser Gallego finishes her Panther career on a high note with her second-team nod. The stroke seat for the V8, she set the tone for the shell all season and helped finish as the third-best team in the nation.

The trio was selected to the team for their boat performance, nomination rank, coach’s comments, individual achievements, and 2k erg score.
