BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Hours of operation have been tweaked at the state-run Monoclonal Antibody Treatment site at Kiwanis Island Park on Merritt Island.

The site is now open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Patients diagnosed with COVID-19 or considered high risk if infected can receive the treatment for free, although insurance information will be requested if available. Kiwanis Island Park is located at 951 Kiwanis Island Park Road on Merritt Island.

To make an appointment, visit patientportalfl.com. Walk-ins are also being accepted at this time. It’s recommended for those visiting the clinic for treatment to hydrate and eat something prior to their arrival.

Also, once on site, please exercise patience and plan to be there no less than an hour.

Monoclonal antibody treatments can be prescribed by health care providers to individuals 12 years of age and older who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and are at high risk for severe illness and hospitalization.

Treatments are available at no cost to patients.

The antibodies help the immune system recognize and respond effectively to the virus. According to treatment guidelines, they should be administered as soon as possible after diagnosis.

Monoclonal treatment sites have been established across the state in an effort to alleviate heavy demand on hospital resources and to ensure Floridians have access to all potential treatments that can help them recover from COVID-19.

To find other locations to receive monoclonal antibody treatments around the entire state, please visit floridahealthcovid19.gov.

It is recommended that anyone ages 12 and older gets vaccinated for COVID-19.
