Rockledge Raiders Basketball Combo Guard Jamar Franklin Commits to South Alabama University

(24/7 SPORTS) – Rockledge Raider combo guard Jamar Franklin has commit to South Alabama University.

The smooth, explosive Franklin (6-2, 170) was not only a big producer for his district champion Raiders team, but he was also the centerpiece of his AAU Team Speights squad.

During his junior season, after which he earned district player of the years and second team Class 5A all-state honors, he averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 steals on 50% shooting from the field, 42% on threes and 79% on free throws.

Franklin, who has over a dozen offers, chose South Alabama from among his other finalists of Louisiana Tech, Murray State, Florida Gulf Coast and Morehead State.

He made his decision after a recruiting visit to Mobile over the weekend, watching the football team’s season-opening demolishment of Southern Mississippi in front of a vibrant home crowd.
