BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Merritt Island Mustangs (5-1) are set to host the Bayside Bears (3-3) in prep football action Friday evening on Space Coast Daily TV.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Mustangs Stadium.

Merritt Island Mustangs head back home after a 42-7 road win against the Titusville Terriers last week.

Senior quarterback Brady Denanburg lead the offense with 3 passing touchdowns a quarterback rating of 133. Mustang’s defense held the terriers to 158 all-purpose yards.

Mustangs a must-win situation as their schedule doesn’t get any easier with a game against Rockledge next week.

Bayside enters Mustang Stadium in desperate need of a win after losing their last two games.

The Bears lost 64-34 to Eau Gallie last week and have allowed a remarkable 106 points scored in their last 2 matchups.

They’ll need to get senior running back Justus Durant going early, the feature back has 13 touchdowns in 6 games.
