OBITUARY: U.S. Air Force Veteran Lt. Col. Michael W. Pope, 70, of Viera, Passed Away Nov. 17

Michael was a man of compassion and faith, a lover of music and nature

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Michael W. Pope passed away in Viera at the age of 70 on November 17, 2021. Born in Jacksonville in 1951, he was a graduate of Ribault high school and later earned his MS at the University of North Florida.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force; retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 2001. He was a man of compassion and faith, a lover of music and nature. He is preceded in death by mother Louise and sister Susan.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Trudy, son Daniel, brothers Patrick and Joseph. He was well-liked by all who met him. His example of decency and kindness made the world a better place.

A celebration of life will be held Monday, November 22 at 3 p.m. in the meadow at Church of Viera.
