BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Michael F. Paniczko III, 61, of Melbourne, FL, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, at Vitas Hospice Center after a courageous five-year battle with cancer.
His humor and resilience remained until the very end.
Born in Northampton, MA, to the late Elaine and Michael Paniczko Jr., Mike grew up in Hatfield and graduated from Smith Academy.
He later moved to Florida, where he earned a degree from Broward Community College and built a hardworking career in Manufacturing Sales.
A lifelong athlete, Mike had an unmatched passion for sports.
Whether playing golf or cheering for the Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots, sports were his vital connection to home and family. He will be remembered for his big heart, contagious laugh, and the way he showed up for those he loved.
Mike is survived by his children, Michael J. and Jenna L. Paniczko; and siblings Lynda (Johnny) Motyka, Peter (Mimi) Paniczko, MaryJane (Joe) Lavallee, and Edward (Karen) Paniczko.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane Rager-Paniczko, and brother, Raymond. We take comfort knowing they are together again.
There will be a gathering in the Fall. His legacy lives on in his children and the countless lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
