OBITUARY: Barbara Diane Becker Passed Away Dec. 20 After Long-Fought Battle With Cancer

Her Chow Chow dogs were her love and her life for more than 40 years

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – At age 67, Barbara Diane Becker passed away December 20, 2021, from her long-fought battle with cancer. She was a resident of Merritt Island, Florida and was from Denver, Colorado.
Barbara was preceded in death by Mother Kay Wilm, Father Edward Norton and Sister Carol Holloway and survived by Nephew Bryan Holloway and former spouse Joseph Becker.
Barbara attended North Denver High School and the University of Northern Colorado graduating with an Associate Science Degree Arts and Science. She worked in Real Estate in Florida for Surfside Properties & Management in Brevard, owner of BIS Fashion and Barbary Specialties unique Chow Chow Items.
Barbara bred, owned and showed Silver Grand Champion Barbary’s Reigning Royalty (Quin) the number two Chow Chow with Breed points in the country at the time of death.
Showing, breeding, grooming and mentoring new handlers in Conformation Dog Showing along with traveling to these events and visiting with numerous friends were not only her hobbies but her reason for living. Her Chow Chow dogs were her love and her life for more than 40 years.
A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held on Jan. 26 at Kiwanis Island Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 951 Kiwanis Island Park Road Merritt Island, Florida.
Barbara said, “No sadness, no tears I have lived a fun and happy life.”
