BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Vicki Neubauer was born Vicki Ramona Asbury on August 24, 1954, in Berwind, West Virginia. She was called home to her rightful place with our Heavenly Father on December 16th, 2021, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida. She lived life to the fullest and was surrounded during her final days by friends and family.

Vicki was a “military brat” and traveled the world as a child.  She lived on Military bases across the globe including Japan.  In her early 20s, she married Robert W. Darby and became a Military wife.

Again, traveling the world and living in Germany for a period. Robert predeceased Vicki in 1998.  Vicki married Bruce Neubauer in 1997 and shortly after Vicki earned a degree in Criminal Justice and began working as an Intake Screener at the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center.

She eventually transferred over and worked as a Juvenile Corrections Officer for several years until an injury to her right arm left her unable to return to duty.  Bruce preceded her in death in 2012.  Vicki became a Companion Caretaker for the elderly, giving many, many clients the best final years possible.

She was a force to be reckoned with and never hesitated to stand up for what she felt was right. Though she was built little, she was fierce.  Vicki loved to read, take photos of the sunrise over the beach and spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren and her incredibly spoiled K-9 companion, Izzy.
