BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College’s Lab School program is becoming Launch Learning, a new non-profit organization that will begin its inaugural preschool year this August, with enrollment details available during two information sessions on March 9.

The sessions will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on EFSC’s Cocoa Campus in the Building 14 Auditorium (Room 104). The Cocoa Campus is located at 1519 Clearlake Road.

Both sessions also will be live-streamed via Facebook at HERE.

Interested parents and guardians will learn more about the vision and direction of Launch Learning, get an overview of upcoming class offerings, and be able to ask questions about preschool registration.

Launch Learning Preschool is based on the same guiding principles as Lab School, which began in the 1960s in Brevard County and will continue to emphasize play-based learning, social and emotional development, parent education, and community involvement.

Construction is underway on a permanent preschool location on Merritt Island, with more information available at 321launch.org.

The transition follows three years of working closely with individuals and educators who are deeply committed to the Lab School mission.

The change allows it to become a self-sustaining registered 501(c)(3) organization, facilitating tax-deductible contributions and opportunities to get involved as a volunteer, donor, or participating family.

EFSC Lab School continues offering virtual classes for parents and children through May as it prepares for the move to Launch Preschool.
