Florida Tech Lacrosse Player Ethan Tosheff Named Sunshine State Conference Specialist of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Following a dominant effort at the faceoff X against Lynn, Ethan Tosheff has been tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Specialist of the Week. This is his first career SSC weekly award.

The senior had a career day in Florida Tech’s 16-14 win over Lynn on Saturday in Boca Raton. Tosheff won a career-best 21-25 (.840) faceoff to go along with a season-high 14 ground balls and scored his second career goal to help the Panthers improve to 2-0 in SSC play.

The Burr Ridge, Illinois product’s 21 faceoff wins and 14 ground balls both rank fifth-most in a game in program history. Tosheff now ranks third all-time with 306 career faceoff wins and fourth in program history with 158 career ground balls.

The No. 13 Panthers will be looking for another strong outing from Tosheff as they welcome top-ranked Tampa to Melbourne on Wednesday. The matchup begins at 4 p.m. at Panther Field.
