CubeSats, Bioreactors Take Top Prize at Northrop Grumman Student Design Showcase

More than 125 projects across 14 categories were shown at the annual event
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Projects featuring CubeSats, bioreactors, and an examination of the best ways to capture harmful carbon in the shipping industry took home the top prizes in the 2022 Northrop Grumman Engineering and Science Student Design Showcase.
More than 125 projects across 14 categories were shown at the annual event held on April 22.
Along with winners in each category, projects were also recognized with top awards from university leadership and event sponsor Northrop Grumman.
It was in 2009 when a $1 million endowment gift from Northrop Grumman provided critical ongoing support for students’ work.
Sponsorships and support from other local and national companies also assist.
These gifts reflect a commitment to boosting interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math programs and the value of learning beyond the classroom.
