BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Faye Shaw Bigam passed away April 21, 2022, at the age of 92. She is predeceased by her husband Howard (Bingo) and son John.
She is survived by daughters Apryle Nickson (Jim), granddaughters Nichole, Natalie, Nancy Kurbalija (Milan), and Naomi. Daughter Lynn Royer (David) and granddaughter Carly Lyon (Nathan) as well as great children Luka, Eliza, and Tucker.
Faye founded one of the first kindergarten programs in Brevard County in 1958. She dedicated her life to teaching young children at Kennedy Middle School for over 20 years, and remained a constant presence for those lives she touched in Rockledge and Cocoa.
Faye was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Her quick wit, perfect grammar, and endless love for her family will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
A celebration of Faye’s life will be at St. Marks Episcopal Church in Cocoa at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association or Special Olympics Florida in her name.
