BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Over the weekend before Courageous Kicks Taekwondo etched their names in Taekwondo sports lore as Brevard County’s medalists, the Taekwondo Stars gained friends as 26 students took on 30 schools and 250 competitors across the country.

The students kicked off the 2022 USCDKA National Championships on a high note, following their winning victories in the color belt, junior black belts, and black belts category in Daytona Beach, Florida.

“We competed to encourage students that competitions teach goal setting, good sportsmanship, and help us improve as we challenge ourselves. This USCDKA National Championship helps make our team stronger as we train together, encourage one another, and build stronger friendships,” Kierstead said.

Taekwondo Master, 6th Degree, Master Happy Kierstead was inducted as a hall of fame black belt role model. She served under the supervision of Senior Grand Master Edward B Sell and Grand Master Brenda Sell. (Couragoues Kicks Taekwondo image)

Courageous Kicks Taekwondo is a Christian taekwondo school based in Brevard County devoted to its students. For Master Kierstead, seeing her students grow as martial artists and as people will teach them courage in the ring but also courage
in life, which can only be found in Jesus Christ.
