Four Members of the Florida Tech Panthers Rowing Team Named IRCA Scholar-Athletes

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Four members of the Florida Tech men’s rowing team have been recognized as 2022 Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

The IRCA Scholar Student-Athlete Award requires that scholar-athletes must be in their second year or more of eligibility, must have competed in one of the program’s top three boats, and must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher for their career.

Earning the distinction for the Panthers are Thomas Francis (Electrical Engineering), Dimitrios Karademitros (Aviation Management), Ben Komita (Ocean Engineering), and Justin Woodyard (Aerospace Engineering).

Francis, Karadeemitros, and Komita earn the honor for the second straight year, while Woodyard receives the award for the first time.
