Motorcyclist, 26, Dies After Crash on US-1 in Port St. John

A motorcyclist has died Wednesday night after he crashed into a vehicle on US-1 near Port St. John.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A motorcyclist has died Wednesday night after he crashed into a vehicle on US-1 near Port St. John.

Authorities identified the motorcyclist as a 26-year-old man from Lost Creek.

The preliminary investigation by Florida Highway Patrol has revealed that the motorcyclist was traveling southbound in 2020 Yamaha motorcycle on US-1 when he crashed into a 2022 Toyota RAV-4.

Witnesses say the motorcyclist was speeding and split the lane between two vehicles when he crashed into the Toyota that was turning left from northbound US-1, heading westbound on Palm St.

The crash caused the motorcyclist to be ejected from the bike where struck a concrete pole.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 59-year-old woman from Cocoa, was not injured and remained at the crash scene.
