BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse is 154 years old, and there will be a celebration during a special evening at the American Muscle Car Museum, a 123,000-square-foot complex that houses a collection of more than 300 cars.
The American Muscle Car Museum is at 3500 Sarno Road, on the west side of Wickham Road in Melbourne. The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse, which is on the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, is the only lighthouse operated by the U.S. Space Force.
This event is the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation’s most important fundraiser of the year, so help preserve the history of the lighthouse and Brevard County at the event from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 5.
This is an opportunity to see an extensive collection of cars – classic 1950s to 1970s American Muscle Cars, more than 50 Indianapolis pace cars and trucks, Shelby’s, Porsches, Yenkos, and much more. You can also enjoy food, beer, and wine and participate in a silent auction and live auction.
“The lighthouse is truly a beacon of Brevard’s history from the early days of ocean commerce to having witnessed 3,500 plus launches,” said Larry Ostarly, president of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation.
“The Foundation’s mission is to continue to share this unique piece of our history. We would love to see you at our AMCM event.”
The museum complex is not open to the public, so this is one of the few times that general audiences can see Mark Pieloch’s great private collection. Even those who are not car fans will marvel at this selection.
Tickets are $100 per person and are available at Eventbright.com or email email@example.com For more information about the event or the lighthouse, call 321-351-5052 or visit www.CanaveralLight.org
