Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber 34th Annual Business Champion of the Year Awards Honors Top Companies

This special awards ceremony was enjoyed by over 150 attendees

Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Champion of the Year honorees and guests included Ron and Jodi Burford of Launch Network DMS, Brevard Humane Society’s Dianne George and Teresa Clifton, Financial Cornerstone Group’s Kim Wheeler and Beth Courtney, Launch Credit Union’s Darlene Montano, Carlee Mixon and Gwen Fraser, Carib Brewery’s Chelsi Bhagwan and Wiedmann Construction and Roofing’s Emily Schmidt Wiedmann, Johnny Wiedmann and Jesse McMinn.

Winners included Launch Credit Union in the Large Business category, Carib Brewery USA in the Medium Business category, and Financial Cornerstone Group and Wiedmann Construction & Roofing in the Small Business Category.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted the 34th Annual Business Champion of the Year Awards ceremony recently at the Space Coast Association of Realtors.

This special awards ceremony was enjoyed by over 150 attendees.

With the support of numerous sponsors, Chamber partners, amazing vendors, and community leaders, this event was extremely successful and the best year to date, according to many attendees.

Amy Krupp, the 2022 Chairwoman of CBRCC, thoughtfully led the evening, while Robyn Hattaway, Commissioner of Canaveral Port Authority, was the keynote speaker.

Commissioner Hattaway gave a compelling speech that inspired the audience. Other important speakers to note were Cordelle Rolle, Chair-Elect of CBRCC, Scott Billue with Matthew’s Hope Ministries, and Johnny Wiedmann with Wiedmann Construction and Roofing.

The Business Champion of the Year Awards Ceremony is the biggest opportunity of the year for Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce partners to honor fellow businesses and recognize those businesses that are dedicated to improving the community. The Business Champion of the Year Awards Ceremony is the biggest opportunity of the year for Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce partners to honor fellow businesses and recognize those businesses that are dedicated to improving the community. This event was created to bring the Chamber’s partners together for an evening of celebration and recognition.

Throughout the year, businesses are nominated for Business Champion of the Month, and any business that received a nomination is automatically entered into the running for the Business Champion for the Year Award.

Each nominee submits an explanation of the importance that this award has for them, and through a thoughtful and intense selection process, winners are chosen in several categories.

The Business Champion of the Year Awards fell into five categories and the winners for each category were:

Large Business: Launch Credit Union

Medium Business: Carib Brewery USA

Small Business: A tie between Financial Cornerstone Group and Wiedmann Construction & Roofing

Start-up Business: Launch Network Digital Media Services, LLC

Non-Profit Business: Brevard Humane Society

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce would also like to highlight the importance of sponsor support and recognize those who made this event possible.

The winners of the Business Champion of the Year award also received a generous media package valued at over $4,000 which was donated by 98.5 the Beach, Brevard Business News, Clear Channel Outdoor, Florida Today, Hometown News, Savings Safari, Space Coast Daily, and Viera Voice.

Three billboards can be seen along US-1, I-95, and Pineda Causeway displaying these Business Champions for the next few weeks.
