Eastern Florida State College To Host NJCAA District/FCSAA State Volleyball Tournament Starting Nov. 4

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College will host the NJCAA District/FCSAA State Volleyball Tournament in November.
The tournament was originally scheduled to be held at Suncoast Credit Union Arena at Florida Southwestern State College but the effects of Hurricane Ian have forced the tournament to be moved to Titan Field House.
Eastern Florida State College has not hosted the tournament in the past decade, which will begin Friday, Nov. 4 with four matches in the double-elimination tournament.
The FCSAA/NJCAA South Atlantic District A Championship match will be on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament.
The loser of the championship match will play the Region 10/17 representative on Sunday, Nov. 6 for a spot in the national championship tournament.
Tickets to the six-team tournament, which will feature some of the best teams in the country, will be $10 per day or $25 for the tournament and will be available to purchase online before the event or at the door.
“We are excited to be able to step in and host the volleyball tournament this year,” Eastern Florida State College Jeff Carr said.
“Thanks to our president, Dr. James Richey, we have the kind of facilities that make it possible and we can’t wait to have some of the best volleyball teams not only in the state but in the nation vying for a spot in the national tournament on our court in a couple of weeks.”
The 2022 NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament will be held in West Plains, Missouri Nov. 17-19.
