BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team is in fifth place after the first round of the JSCC Pioneer Invitational at Musgrove Country Club in Jasper, Alabama.

The Titans shot a 296 in the round and is tied with Coastal Alabama Community College. Wallace State and Snead State are tied for first place after shooting 286.

The Titans were led by Adam Vermut who shot a 73 and is tied for 19th while teammates Brandon Boncore and Murphy Allard each shot 74. Noah Campbell and Nick Miller each finished with 75s for Eastern Florida State College.

“Another tough day scoring. Tee to green was OK but just didn’t adjust well to the greens,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

The Titans will tee off Tuesday morning in the final round in Alabama.
