BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers quarterback Blake Boda committed to Coastal Carolina University after originally committing to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas earlier this month.

“To be able to learn from some of the best QB minded Coaches that can prepare me to be a successful quarterback. The brotherhood that the team has is unmatched,” said Boda when asked about his decision.

Boda led the Tigers to their fifth state title in school history after defeating the Florida State University High School Seminoles in overtime 38-31 at the 2022 FHSAA Class 2S State Championship at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee last month.

In addition to Boda leading the Tigers to a state championship victory, the 6-foot-4-inch southpaw threw for a state-best 4,028 yards – and racked up 54 touchdowns in 2022.
