BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA VILLAGE, FLORIDA – Burger Bro’s Burger Bar Petiscaria is located at 109 Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Village and is a cool and exciting new addition to the dining, imbibing restaurant/bar scene in Historic Downtown Cocoa Village right in the heart of Florida’s Space Coast.

Have you ever been to a Spanish or Portuguese-speaking country on vacation or business and you enjoyed a delicious steak or burger, and it tastes different but GOOOD?

Well, thank you to the friendly and brilliant Burger Bro’s team for opening up in Cocoa Village because my steak last night was delicious, and it felt like being back in Rio.

I’ll get back to my steak and fries in a minute. First, the location – right in what may be one of the most visible corners in the village, you can find parking outside this cool spot or around the side streets.

It’s a locally owned and operated, independent restaurant, family run with love and pride. It’s important we support locally owned independent businesses as they open in our historic downtown areas, as it provides vibrancy to our community.

The building is stylish, modernized, and cool and the high ceilings give it a downtown big city feel. The bar where I sat is inviting, and the high-def TVs show all kinds of sports games all the time- so this could be your new spot for watching sports.

The fun music stage is where they have karaoke on Saturday nights, so start practicing in the shower and get your game on for that.

Thanks to the lovely and friendly bartender, I tried their Caipirinha, which is a traditional Brazilian cocktail consisting of 2/3 oz Cachaça, two teaspoons of brown sugar, half a lime cut into four wedges, placed into old a fashioned glass, and muddled (mashed together using a muddler or a wooden spoon). Chilled Cachaça by itself is also a very nice aperitif.

There is lots of comfortable seating in the dining room, and the menu is different, interesting and diverse. I chose the beef steak and fries with relish. As I said, my sirloin steak was delicious and cooked perfectly – medium with just the right amount of seasoning. I’ll be back for that steak early and often.
