Taylor ended up staying close to home and attending the University of Florida until he decided to forego his senior year and enter the 2019 NFL Draft. He was selected 35th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After signing a $7.8 million contract with the Jags, the 22-year-old played all 1,091 offensive snaps during his rookie season.

For his outstanding play during the 2019 National Football League season, Taylor was selected to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team.
