BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – As part of its commitment to providing reasonable and financially responsible athletics programs for a range of scholar-athletes, Florida Tech is reinstating men’s cross country and expanding running programs to include men’s indoor and outdoor track, all as varsity intercollegiate sports, effective immediately.

Florida Tech is also committed to ensuring that existing sports programs are not impacted.

The changes come as the university reaffirms its support of and responsibilities under Title IX.

“Florida Tech is always looking for new opportunities to provide meaningful experiences for our students,” said Interim President Robert King.

“This summer, we are carefully evaluating our athletics offerings and adjusting as needed. The addition of these programs will strengthen our athletics offerings while giving our scholar-athletes broader opportunities to showcase their skills.”
