Recognizing the importance of telling Brevard County’s unique story, the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast embarked on a groundbreaking journey through Mission Space Coast, the first-ever unified branding initiative for the region. Now in the final phase, the progress made with Mission Space Coast since its inception in 2022 is meritorious, poising it to set the community apart on this global stage.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –  Amidst the prevailing competition in talent attraction and retention, communities must battle for attention and recognition on a global stage. Effective community branding, once thought of as a luxury, is now essential to effective community development, while also attracting potential investors, visitors and residents.

Recognizing the importance of telling Brevard County’s unique story, the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast embarked on a groundbreaking journey through Mission Space Coast, the first-ever unified branding initiative for the region.

Now in the final phase, the progress made with Mission Space Coast since its inception in 2022 is meritorious, poising it to set the community apart on this global stage.

Mission Space Coast is a collaborative effort involving the EDC, the Space Coast Office of Tourism (SCOT), and EDC stakeholders. This partnership exemplifies our collective commitment to showcasing the region’s assets and unlocking its full potential.

By harnessing the strengths and contributions of these key partners, Mission Space Coast will emerge as a powerful and unified voice for Florida’s Space Coast. This seamless collaboration not only extends the reach and impact of the initiative but also nurtures a sense of ownership and pride among all stakeholders involved.

“It’s the perfect combination to bring the EDC and Office of Tourism together, because they’re two sides of the same coin,” said Peter Cranis, Executive Director of the Space Coast Office of Tourism.

“When people are considering relocating for work, they often visit the destination first and when they see our advertising, they’ll make that connection. Having a great experience here while on vacation can translate to making the Space Coast home.”

By developing a cohesive brand identity, Mission Space Coast seeks to provide a framework that businesses within Brevard County can embrace side-by-side with their own brand, whether they are municipalities or independent entities. This unified approach ensures that people looking from the outside in can effectively recognize the assets on Florida’s Space Coast and what the community stands for.

The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast is dedicated to attracting new business and investment and expanding existing industry throughout the Space Coast, influencing change on government laws and regulations affecting economic development, promoting the Space Coast to encourage new investment, supporting efforts of Space Coast military installations, and relaying new programs and procedures to assist manufacturing and high-tech companies.
