Cocoa Police Conduct Homicide Investigation After 32-Year-Old Homeless Man Dies

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Police are currently working a homicide investigation at they found 32-year-old homeless man in a wooded area in Cocoa.
According to Yvonne Martinez of the Cocoa Police Department, just before 2 a.m. Friday, officers responded to the westbound side of the Hubert Humphrey bridge in a wooded area just north of the roadway after reports of an aggravated battery.
When officers arrived they located a male victim.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Martinez said.
Detectives are currently conducting interviews and gathering evidence.
