BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Draper Laboratory celebrated a groundbreaking event for their Strategic Enhanced Ground Test Facility in Titusville, Florida. Draper selected the Space Coast to build a facility that will serve as a critical infrastructure piece to support national security missions.
For more than 60 years, Draper has maintained a presence in Cape Canaveral supporting the U.S. Navy’s strategic deterrence missions.
The 36,000-square-foot facility will enable testing, simulation and validation of current and future guidance, navigation, and control systems, utilizing world-class capabilities, including a one-of-a-kind centrifuge, that will be one of the largest in the world.
Draper is breaking ground at North American Properties Vector Space Industrial Park in Titusville, Florida.
The Draper project is the first in an expected series of high-tech developments for NAP as part of their Riverfront Center and Spaceport Commerce Park initiatives.

Riverfront Center is the closest privately held property to the Kennedy Space Center, and Spaceport Commerce Park, a FPL Florida First Site, is recognized as a prime location for companies supporting the aviation and aerospace industries.
Both locations are ideally suited for technology companies seeking to access the infrastructure, resources and high-tech workforce in Brevard County.
“Congratulations to North American Properties on welcoming Draper to Riverfront Center in Titusville,” said Lynda L. Weatherman, President and CEO of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast.
“Draper’s decision to continue its national expansion in Brevard County demonstrates that NAP’s forward-thinking approach to developing and managing a diverse array of investments in our region will serve as significant economic drivers, providing the Space Coast a broader economic advantage as companies look to locate and expand here.”
