Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic Sends 5,488 Voter Postcards to Confirm Residency

This week, 5,488 postcards were sent to voters who are being asked to confirm their residency in Brevard County. These letters are being sent in response to information our office has received through the National Change of Address program supplied by the United States Postal Service. “My office conducts annual voter registration list maintenance to ensure our voter rolls are accurate and current, by Florida law and the National Voter Registration Act,” said Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This week, 5,488 postcards were sent by the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections to voters who are being asked to confirm their residency in Brevard County. These letters are being sent in response to information Brevard County Supervisor of Elections has received through the National Change of Address program supplied by the United States Postal Service.

According to a Brevard County Supervisor of Elections official, voters will need to respond within 30 days by completing the return portion of the card or by contacting the elections office to remain active on the voter roll for Brevard County.

“My office conducts annual voter registration list maintenance to ensure our voter rolls are accurate and current, by Florida law and the National Voter Registration Act,” said Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic.

“Voters whose status is moved to inactive are still eligible to vote for a period of up to two general elections. If the voter does not vote or has any election activity during this period, the voter’s status will be moved to ineligible on the voter roll.”

Ineligible voters will need to re-register to vote in a future election.
