BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX successfully launched 29 Starlink satellites aboard a Falcon 9 rocket Thursday afternoon from Florida’s Space Coast, continuing the company’s rapid expansion of its global broadband internet network.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station under clear skies, lighting up the afternoon sky as it climbed northeast over the Atlantic Ocean.

Thursday’s mission added another batch of Starlink internet satellites to SpaceX’s growing low-Earth orbit constellation, which is designed to provide high-speed internet coverage to customers around the world, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

Following stage separation, the Falcon 9 first-stage booster completed a successful landing on the droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean, marking another recovery milestone for SpaceX’s reusable rocket program.

The launch marked one of several Starlink missions flown from the Space Coast this year as SpaceX maintains a busy launch cadence from both Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

Crowds gathered across Brevard County to watch the launch, with viewing spots along Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral and Titusville offering clear views of the rocket ascending into orbit.

SpaceX continues to expand the Starlink network with thousands of satellites already deployed, supporting internet service across multiple continents and remote regions worldwide.
