CareerSource Brevard Offering Free Training, Industry Certifications for High-Demand Occupations

Through the Florida Atlantic Workforce Alliance grant, provided by Governor Ron DeSantis as part of a 30-million-dollar initiative to support workforce development, CareerSource Brevard offers free training opportunities for high-demand careers such as aerospace technician, aviation maintenance technician, CNC machinist, computer programmer, electronics assembler and technician, robotics, simulation technician and more.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Through the Florida Atlantic Workforce Alliance grant, provided by Governor Ron DeSantis as part of a 30-million-dollar initiative to support workforce development, CareerSource Brevard offers free training opportunities for high-demand careers such as aerospace technician, aviation maintenance technician, CNC machinist, computer programmer, electronics assembler and technician, robotics, simulation technician and more.

Program participants gain knowledge in their field of choice through established programs in aviation maintenance, composites, drafting and design, engineering technology, welding, computer programming analysis, and network systems technology, to name a few.

In addition, CSB’s partnership with Eastern Florida State College addresses industry demand for electronics and cable assemblers by offering accelerated soldering training to include five IPC certifications.

“Through rapid credentialing, students can get the required training and industry certifications they need to start a new career in a short time,” says Stephanie Robinson, CareerSource Brevard’s FAWA project manager.

“This prepares them for work sooner and graduates can continue to refine their skills after employment through our work-based training programs.”

Various local and online training providers offer certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA, FAA Airframe & Power Plant, MSSC/Certified Production Technician, IPC Soldering, and Welding.

Program lengths and start dates vary. Eligibility for free training is based on household income and/or employment at the time of application.
