Jewell hit .398 with 19 doubles in 60 games

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College softball player McKenzie Jewell was named to the FCSAA All-State Second Team on Tuesday.

The freshman from Coral Springs had a big first season for the Titans, hitting .398 with 19 doubles in 60 games in the outfield. Jewell has driven in 46 and scored 39 runs with three home runs this season.

Jewell has had at least one hit in the past 11 games and is slugging .586 with seven stolen bases.

It is the ninth player in Titans history to be named to the second team and first since Brooke Theisen in 2022.

Eastern Florida State College will open the FCSAA Division I/NJCAA South Atlantic District Championship Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Florida Southwestern at Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater.
