Merritt Island Mustangs Cruise Past Hernando 10-0, Advance to FHSAA Baseball State Semifinals

Merritt Island has a 24-5 overall record

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On Tuesday, the Merritt Island Mustangs baseball team advanced to the state semifinals after defeating the Hernando Leopards 10-0 in the FHSAA Regional Finals.

The Mustangs will face South Walton in the state semifinals on May 21. The first pitch is set for 7 p.m.

South Walton is coming off a 6-1 win over Arnold and has a 20-10 record this season.

The team that comes out on top will advance to the State Championship and play the winner of the Cardinal Gibbons vs. Mulberry game.
