PREP BASEBALL: Merritt Island Mustangs Fall to South Walton in State Semifinals 7-3

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Merritt Island Mustangs baseball season came to an end after falling to South Walton in the FHSAA state semifinals 7-3 at Hammond Stadium on Tuesday.

Mustangs finished the season with a 24-6 record on the season.

Merritt Island advanced to the final four after cruising past the Hernando Leopards 10-0 in the FHSAA Regional Finals last week.

South Walton is coming off a 6-1 win over Arnold and has a 20-10 record this season.

The team that comes out on top will advance to the State Championship and play the winner of the Cardinal Gibbons vs. Mulberry game.
