Suntree United Methodist Church to Host Free Patriotic Celebration ‘Suntree Stars & Stripes’ June 30

BREVARD COUNTY • SUNTREE, FLORIDA – Suntree United Methodist Church is pulling out all the stops for Suntree Stars & Stripes, a free patriotic concert celebration on Sunday, June 30 at 6 p.m. at 7400 N. Wickham Road.
The concert of patriotic favorites will feature the Melbourne Municipal Band, led by conductor Staci Rosbury.
The band will be joined by singers from the Suntree Chancel Choir and members of the Brevard Community Chorus, under the direction of Justin Walker.
From start to finish, concertgoers can expect a rousing selection of patriotic numbers, including “America the Beautiful,” various marches by John Philip Sousa, Leroy Anderson’s “The Phantom Regiment,” the popular “Star Spangled Spectacular” medley, and many more.
During the Armed Forces Salute, military veterans will be asked to stand when their service song is played. Light refreshments will be available for attendees, who are invited to dress in red, white, and blue in a show of patriotic solidarity.
Pastor of Worship Arts for Suntree United Methodist Church, Mike Mayes is looking forward to greeting old and new friends at Suntree Stars & Stripes.
“Suntree United Methodist Church is happy to invite the whole community for this wonderful patriotic concert,” said Pastor Mayes. “It will be an evening of music and fellowship as we gather with our neighbors in the true spirit of America.”
