The Eastern Florida State College soccer programs are among the best in the country as the men’s soccer team is ranked No. 1, and the women’s soccer team is No. 2, in the latest NJCAA Division I National Poll released on Tuesday.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – It has been a historic week for the Eastern Florida State College soccer programs.
The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team is ranked No. 1 in the first NJCAA Division I National Poll which was released on Tuesday. It marked the first time that the Titans have been No. 1 in the country in program history.
“We are off to a great start and another outstanding season. I know I speak for everyone at the College when I say how excited we all are to have such phenomenal student athletes both on and off of the field,” said Dr. Jim Richey, President of Eastern Florida State College.

The men’s soccer team improved to 4-0 on Tuesday night with a 5-2 victory against Lakeland United.
“It is a good reward and something that was wanted and hopefully earned, but now we have the tough task of keeping it,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Adam Butler said.
“It is a day by day process, you can use the game Tuesday as a good example of our season, sometimes you wonder if we have played the game before and other times you look and say wow, that is why they are here.”
Sophomore Mukisa Emmanuel leads the nation in goals scored with seven this season. The Mbale, Uganda native has scored at least once in each of the first four games and was the NJCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Player of the Week last week.
“What a player! He is finding some form, he has adjusted and feels at home in Melbourne. He is a force to be reckoned with,” Butler said.
EASTERN FLORIDA STATE MEN’S SOCCER TEAM INCLUDES: Manuel German, Mateo Garcia-Galan, Zak Ford, Ryuta Morioka,, Niall Lovelock, Luc Achermann-Stanfield, Rhys Shirley, Liam Kuemmitz, Mukisa Emmanuel, Isaak Torossian, Siphesihle Maseko, Daniel Augusto Trani, Daiki Okada, Ocira Lazarus, Randie Hernandez, Angelo Lemb, Joao Loureiro, Mateo Acuna Marmol, Takuma Kiuchi, Shermine Williams, Adrian Adrian, Lars Bekman, Kwame Asante, Kilian Dewald, Stephen Gilbert, Conner Floyd, Louis Munn, Marcellus McCoy, Aidan McAteer and Yuta Hirano. The coaching staff includes Head Coach Adam Butler, Assistant Coach Adrian Moreno and Goalkeeper Coach Calvin Dixon.

Women Highly Ranked for Past 10 Seasons
Meanwhile the women’s soccer team is ranked No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I National Women’s Soccer poll for the second straight week. The women’s program has been ranked in the top eight in the country for the past 10 seasons, 92 weeks dating back to 2015.
“We understand that this year’s ranking is based off of what the program accomplished last year. We lost 10 starters from that group, returning just eight players so we are a new team with a new identity,” Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer coach Scott Carswell said.
“We need to embrace the reputation and legacy of the players before us while at the same time writing our own story.”
Freshman Lili Baidoe became the first Titan to be named the FCSAA Women’s Soccer Player of the Week on Tuesday after scoring both goals in the team’s 2-0 victory against Motlow State Community College.
The women’s soccer team will hit the road on Friday to play Pasco-Hernando State College at 4 p.m. while the men’s soccer program will head north this weekend for games against Cape Fear and USC Lancaster on Sunday and Monday.
