BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I recently had the opportunity to sit down and talk with William Erdman, owner of the Athletic Club of the Avenues. Their “one-of-a-kind” fitness club specializes in multiple areas. My question-and-answer interview with Erdman allowed him to best describe what sets his facility apart from others and what they have to offer.
Question: What makes the Athletic Club of the Avenues different than other health clubs?
Answer: What makes Athletic Club of the Avenues different from other health clubs or fitness platforms is our limited members, ability to book workouts, cleanliness and our staff.
Question: What do you tell someone that has not exercised in years? Why is the Athletic Club of the Avenues the right place for them?
Answer: Athletic Club of the Avenues is a great place to start getting back into a healthy workout routine. Our club offers hands-on assistance and utilizes our online booking system, through the ACA app, to allow members to have personal or private space during their workout. Athletic Club of the Avenues is tailored to the members and their needs.

Question: Do you offer classes?
Answer: We offer virtual classes through our Peloton subscription. Our Athletic Cub Staff is currently in the efforts of becoming certified personal trainers. Our staff is here to assist with any of the equipment or with pointers to reach your fitness goals.
Question: Your website mentions bookable pool and hot sessions. What does that mean?
Answer: On the ACA app our members can book sessions. We have 4 temperature-controlled rooms and two swim lanes. These six platforms can be reserved so members can be efficient and plan when it comes to his or her workout schedule. No more waiting for a swim lane or workout equipment.
The four Temperature Controlled Rooms consist of HIIT with a TRX cable set up, Schwinn bike, Peloton bike and Peloton row with TRX cable set up. HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training.
Question: Describe the relationship between Knights Physical Therapy and Wellness and the Athletic Club of the Avenues.
Answer: Knights Physical Therapy located in the suite next to Athletic Club of the Avenues is the best physical therapy option in Brevard County. Knights PT utilizes our swimming pool every Thursday from 9AM-2PM. During this time, the pool is heated to therapy grade temperature. This gives Knights PT a unique benefit with their therapy options

Question: What was the motivation of the design of the Athletic Club?
Answer: During the design process for ACA, although all fitness levels were considered, special consideration went to triathletes. The fitness club also put immense consideration into the on-going inconveniences presented in the average gym. We wanted to work towards eliminating the common issues and provide members with an upgraded fitness experience.
Question: Melissa Farell and Cody Abbott are your lead trainers. Tell us about Melissa and Cody
Answer: Our staff at the ACA is what makes us different than other athletic clubs and fitness facilities. Between Melissa and Cody, all our members are in the right hands if needing assistance in reaching their fitness goals. Both of our trainers are currently completing their NASM personal trainer certificate.
