Brevard Native, STU Running Back Rontavious Farmer Breaks College Football All-Time Rushing Record in Florida

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County native and current St. Thomas University running back Rontavious Farmer became the all-time leader in all college football in rushing yards in Florida on Saturday against Weber.

Former Cocoa Tigers standout Rontavious Farmer passed Dalvin Cook (4,464) earlier this season. He then surpassed former Keiser great Marques Burgess (4,872) and now has 4,955 career rushing yards, with his eyes set on 5,000 rush yards with three regular-season games left.

On Saturday, Farmer finished with 87 rushing yards on the night and three touchdowns in the Bobcats thrilling 45-44 victory.

Farmer graduated from Cocoa in 2021.

The St. Thomas Bobcats football team plays in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Bobcats are members of the Sun Conference and play their home games at AutoNation Field in Miami Gardens, Florida
