Florida Tech Panthers Cordelia Kearns and Lilian Muszynski Earn SSC Players of the Week

Kearns led the Panthers with 17 kills while adding in 12 digs, 2 blocks
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — After completing a 3-0 week in conference play, Sophomore Cordelia Kearns was named offensive player of the week, and senior Lilian Muszynski earned defensive player of the week honors, as announced by the SSC on Monday afternoon.
This is the first time in volleyball program history that two Panthers have earned player of the week honors in the same week. It is also the first Player of the Week honors for both career players.
On Tuesday against (RV) Nova Southeastern, Kearns led the Panthers with 17 kills while adding in 12 digs and 2 blocks in the 3-1 win over the Sharks.
Then on Friday against No.4 Tampa, she totaled a match-high 23 kills with 11 digs and 4 blocks in the program first ever win over the Spartans. To end the week, she delivered 18 kills at a .300 hit percentage and recorded her third double-double of the week adding on 12 digs in a 3-1 win over FSC on Senior Day.
On Tuesday against (RV) Nova Southeastern, Muszynski started her dominant defensive week by recording 6 total blocks including 2 solos in the win over the Sharks.
Then on Friday against No.4 Tampa, she added on 7 more total blocks and 1 solo in the program’s first victory over the Spartans. To end the week, she tallied 7 blocks, 2 solos, and added on 6 kills to help secure the 3-1 victory over the Mocs on Senior Day.
