Road Work Affecting Palm Bay Area Scheduled to Persist Through April 9

Emergency crews are on scene and repairs are underway between San Filippo and Emerson Drive

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA—The City of Palm Bay has issued notices for road closures and lane closures that will affect traffic in the area.

Significant closures and delays on Malabar Road have been posted on April 1. Closures are in effect between San Filippo Drive and Emerson Drive.

These closures are due to a broken gas line and are significant. East and westbound traffic, as well as surrounding businesses and side streets, will be affected.

Emergency crews are on scene and repairs are underway. Public Works is advising to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Public Works Operations Department Brant Hoffman has also issued a Lane Closure for Highway US 1, between Linwood Lane North East and Riverview Drive.

These lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, through Wednesday, April 9.
