BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department officially welcomed four new officers to its ranks during a swearing-in ceremony conducted by Chief Lau.
Officers Dalen Belford, Morale Durden, Dariel Rivera, and Bronson Shortt began their law enforcement journey in October 2024 as sponsored recruits of the City of Titusville.
The group attended the Eastern Florida State College Law Enforcement Academy, where they successfully completed 770 hours of rigorous academic and practical training.

Following their graduation in March 2025 and successful completion of state certification exams, the new officers underwent several weeks of in-house training with the department.
On May 5, they entered the Field Training Program, a 14-week phase that pairs them with veteran Field Training Officers for hands-on experience in the community.
Residents are encouraged to greet and congratulate the new officers as they begin their careers serving the City of Titusville.
Congratulations to Officers Belford, Durden, Rivera, and Shortt.
