BREVARD COUNTY • KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLORIDA — The world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are scheduled to return to Florida’s Space Coast this fall, with a newly announced performance at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center on Nov. 7-8 as part of the precision flying team’s updated 2026 demonstration schedule.
The Kennedy Space Center appearance was included in a revised performance calendar recently released on the Thunderbirds’ official Facebook and Instagram accounts.
While the event has not yet been added to the team’s official website, the announcement signals another high-profile aviation event for Florida’s Space Coast.
In the social media announcement, the Thunderbirds said they are looking forward to concluding their 2026 season with a patriotic celebration marking the nation’s semiquincentennial.
“Our 2026 show schedule has been updated, and we couldn’t be more excited to finish the season celebrating 250 years of the greatest nation on Earth in a city near you!” the team posted.
The performances will coincide with the nationwide observance of the 250th anniversary of the United States, a milestone that will be celebrated throughout 2026 with commemorative events across the country.

The Thunderbirds most recently thrilled Space Coast audiences as the headline act during the 2023 Cocoa Beach Air Show, where thousands of spectators lined the shoreline to watch the team’s signature high-speed formations, precision maneuvers and synchronized aerial demonstrations.
The Thunderbirds, officially known as the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, perform in specially modified F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft and have served as ambassadors for the Air Force since 1953.
Their demonstrations showcase the skill, professionalism, and capabilities of Air Force pilots while inspiring future generations to pursue careers in military aviation and aerospace.
