City of Rockledge to Fill Two City Council Seats at 2025 General Election Nov. 4

Qualification window opens at noon on Aug. 5

The City of Rockledge has announced that it will hold its General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to determine who will fill Rockledge City Council Seats 1 and 2, two key municipal positions.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA — The City of Rockledge announced that it will hold its General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, which will determine who will fill Rockledge City Council Seats 1 and 2, two key municipal positions.

Individuals interested in qualifying as candidates must complete the preliminary qualification process in accordance with Florida law.

This process will be handled through the office of the Rockledge City Clerk, located at Rockledge City Hall, 1600 Huntington Lane.

The qualification window will officially open at noon on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, and will close at noon on Friday, August 15, 2025.

The notice appeared on July 31, 2025, as part of the legal requirement to inform the public of upcoming municipal elections.

The 2025 City of Rockledge General Election is on November 4, 2025

The General Election will be held in and for the City of Rockledge, Florida, on the 4th day of November 2025, to fill the following municipal offices:

Rockledge City Council Seat #1

Rockledge City Council Seat #2
Term of each office: Three (3) years

Council Seat #1  (currently filled by Dr. Michael A. Cadore, Sr.)
Council Seat #2  (currently filled by Dr. R. Shaun Ferguson)

2025 Candidate Qualifying Period
Opens: Noon, Tuesday, August 5, 2025
Closes: Noon, Friday, August 15, 2025
*Qualifying not available on Friday, August 8th

Candidate Qualifying Fees
Council Seats:
Qualifying Fee (one-half of one month’s salary)                    $300.00
State Election Assessment (1% of annual salary)                   $72.00
Total Candidate Qualifying Fee:                                     $372.00

*Qualifying fee must be paid by campaign check

A candidate may announce his or her candidacy prior to qualifying by filing an Announcement of Intention to become a Candidate for Office form.
