Brevard County motorists are facing significant delays Sunday morning after a multiple vehicle crash forced the closure of northbound lanes on Interstate 95. The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed three fatalities resulting from this crash.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A fatal crash has many Brevard County motorists facing significant delays Sunday morning after a multiple vehicle crash forced the closure of northbound lanes on Interstate 95 in Melbourne.

Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed three fatalities resulting from the crash.

The crash occurred near mile marker 190 and was reported around 3:57 a.m.

FHP and emergency crews responded to the scene. All northbound lanes on I-95 have been shut down as investigators work the scene.

The on-ramp at mile marker 188 and all lanes of I-95 North through mile marker 190 are closed.

Traffic is currently being re-routed onto the Pineda Causeway.

Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes to avoid significant delays.
