Brevard County Ocean Rescue to Host Lifeguard Tryouts Nov. 15 at Rockledge High School

Pay starts at $16.75 per hour

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Ocean Rescue is inviting applicants to join its seasonal lifeguard team, with open tryouts scheduled for Saturday, November 15, at 1 p.m. at the Rockledge High School swimming pool.

The department is seeking motivated individuals who are at least 16 years old, demonstrate strong swimming abilities, have a flexible schedule, and have a positive attitude.

Applicants will be required to complete a 500-meter swim in 10 minutes, a one-mile run in 10 minutes, and a strength test as part of the evaluation.

Candidates should bring a valid ID, Social Security card, appropriate swimwear, a towel, and running shoes to the tryouts.

Successful candidates will start at $16.75 per hour and have the opportunity to serve on a dedicated team keeping Brevard’s beaches safe.
